Object Description:
The deposit is located in the south of the Republic of Buryatia in the Eravninsky District, 60 km from the district center.
The zinc-lead ore deposits are one of the most significant investment projects not only for the Republic of Buryatia but for all of Russia. Both zinc and lead are included in the list of key types of strategic mineral raw materials necessary for sustainable economic development.
As of early 2015, the total reserves of the Ozyornoye deposit, accounted for, amounted to 135 million tons of ore (by category B+C1+C2). In particular, it contains 8.3 million tons of zinc with an average content of 6.16%, 1.56 million tons of lead with an average content of 1.17%, and 4,671 tons of silver with a content of 35 g/t.
Based on the deposits, the construction of a mining and processing plant with a capacity of 6 million tons of ore per year is planned, as well as the establishment of a company for the extraction and processing of ores and the production of lead and zinc concentrates, with separation into concentrates
